Being a former French colony, it exudes a Mediterranean aura and is famous for the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, one of the most well known ashrams in India with devotees from all over the world, and its offshoot Auroville. Pondicherry is also famous for its pristine beaches and its French town ensconced with French style architecture and boutiques. |

1:30 pm | Lunch onboard The Golden Chariot. |
4:15 pm | A Visit to the Aurobindo Ashram. |
5.30 pm | Stroll on beach/ French town/Shopping |
7:30 pm | Dinner at a local restaurant* |
10:00 pm | Back on board TGC, overnight on the train. |
11.30 pm | Depart to Trichy. |
